A Chinese school of traditional medicine and the Cebu provincial government have partnered to provide alternative healing training to local physicians.

Through a collaboration with the Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Fuzhou City, a health conference is also being planned to provide government and private physicians with an opportunity to learn about traditional Chinese medicine.

Health collaboration

Fujian experts will impart their knowledge of traditional treatment methods like naturopathy, acupuncture, and the usage of herbal remedies.

In order to encourage families to pursue farming, the LGU also plans to integrate traditional medicine within the province's "Sugbusog" livelihood program.

Both the training for barangay health workers and the curriculum for the 16 hospitals managed by the Cebu Capitol will incorporate traditional medicine and alternative healthcare systems.

Complementing modern medicine

Modern medicine can benefit from the insights and complementing techniques provided by traditional Chinese medicine. Its holistic viewpoint stresses the body's equilibrium through techniques like acupuncture and herbal treatments.

By treating chronic illnesses, minimizing side effects, and enhancing general well-being, these techniques can improve contemporary medical therapies.

A more complete healthcare system can be created by combining traditional Asian medicine with contemporary methods, combining age-old knowledge with cutting-edge research to enhance patient outcomes and support long-term health.
