The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) kicked off the Sinulog Fiesta Fair 2025, bringing Cebuano food and handicrafts to the forefront of local commerce. Running from January 15 to 26, the fair is hosted at the SM Main Mall Atrium and showcases the creativity and craftsmanship of local businesses. With 37 exhibitors from Cebu, as well as participants from Bohol, Davao, and Palawan, the event celebrates Cebu’s diverse culture and entrepreneurial spirit.
A Celebration of Local Products
The fair offers a wide variety of products, ranging from intricate footwear, fashion jewelry, and guitars to unique shellcraft and novelties. These items highlight the talent of Cebu’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs). For food enthusiasts, the fair also features a selection of homemade food products, including Tuburan coffee—a locally grown brew known for its rich and robust flavor. Visitors can enjoy the finest local goods while supporting Cebu’s growing SME sector.
Supporting Local Entrepreneurs
Beyond showcasing products, the fair also plays a key role in supporting local businesses. In partnership with the Cebu provincial government, DTI-Cebu, and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), a PHP5.9 million fund has been allocated for the Sugbo Negosyo 3.0 program. This initiative provides seed capital to 295 MSMEs to improve their physical spaces through renovations and beautification. The goal is to create more inviting and professional environments that attract customers, further boosting the local economy.
