President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has announced a P10-per-liter fuel subsidy for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators as fuel prices continue to rise amid tensions in the Middle East.

The initiative is aimed at providing immediate relief to the transport sector by helping ease the impact of higher fuel costs on daily operations.

Pilot Implementation Starts in Metro Manila

Malacañang said the program will be rolled out on Tuesday as a pilot implementation in selected fuel stations across Metro Manila. The initial rollout will serve as a testing phase to ensure the proper distribution and efficient delivery of the subsidy before a wider national implementation.
