Get ready to experience Manaoag like never before! This beloved faith tourism capital of Pangasinan is transforming with new pasalubong centers, trade hubs, scenic boulevards, and revitalized public spaces. Whether visiting for spiritual reflection or souvenirs, Manaoag 2.0 promises a more comfortable, enjoyable, and unforgettable trip.
New Projects Set to Boost Tourism and Local Business
Near the iconic Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Rosary of Manaoag, a four-hectare site is being developed into a modern trade and investment facility. This new hub will serve as an intermodal bus terminal, government office space, and convention center—all while providing an organized area for local vendors who currently sell along crowded sidewalks.
A new 26-meter-wide boulevard is also under construction, designed as an alternate route to Baguio City with parking spaces and orderly vendor areas. Governor Ramon Guico III envisions this facility helping local MSMEs sell products domestically first, then eventually reach global markets through product training and support.
Pasalubong Center and Public Market to Open Soon
A PHP14-million pasalubong center beside the basilica is on track to open by early 2026, just in time for the Centennial Coronation Celebration of Our Lady of Rosary. This will be the perfect place for visitors to pick up unique gifts and souvenirs.
Rizal Park is also undergoing a PHP20-million renovation, turning it into a welcoming open space for gatherings. Meanwhile, a brand-new public market will open by mid-2026, offering a clean, orderly environment with parking, encouraging visitors to shop local.
Preparing for More Tourists and New Investments
The Pangasinan Link Expressway (PLEX) will feature its first interchange in Manaoag, expected within three years, boosting tourist arrivals. Mayor Jeremy Rosario is inviting investors to build resorts and hotels, offering visitors reasons to stay longer and enjoy the town’s full charm.
With 5.78 million tourists in 2024, Manaoag’s future as a top destination is brighter than ever.
