Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), in partnership with GT Capital Holdings led by the Ty family, is accelerating its shift to full electrification with the launch of the bZ4X—its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the country. Reservations opened on Nov. 7, marking a significant milestone in the automotive giant’s multi-pathway strategy toward sustainable mobility.
Priced at P2,699,000, the all-electric SUV offers Filipino drivers a new zero-emission option without sacrificing performance, reliability, or Toyota’s signature design. “Our multi-pathway approach is all about giving customers multiple options. I hope more Filipinos can join us in our movement toward carbon neutrality with the all-new bZ4X,” said TMP president Masando Hashimoto.
A Major Step Toward Carbon-Neutral Mobility
The bZ4X represents Toyota’s most aggressive push yet into full electrification, complementing its existing lineup of hybrid models. Designed as part of the global “beyond Zero” initiative, the SUV supports the company’s long-term environmental goals while broadening consumer access to cleaner transportation.
The model is offered with all-wheel drive and is powered by a lithium-ion battery delivering 343 PS and 338 Nm of torque, ensuring smooth acceleration and capable handling. Its electric platform provides a quiet yet powerful driving experience suited for both city roads and long-distance travel.
Premium Features for Comfort and Convenience
Despite being an electric-first model, the bZ4X doesn’t skimp on interior comforts and tech upgrades. The cabin features premium leather seating, a panoramic moonroof, and a spacious layout designed for both daily commutes and weekend trips.
For tech integration, the unit is equipped with a 14-inch touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a power back door with kick sensor for hands-free access. Charging options and energy-efficient systems are also optimized to make EV ownership more convenient.
Safety and Style in One Package
Safety remains a key selling point, with Toyota Safety Sense, seven airbags, Intelligent Park Assist, and advanced driver-assist systems coming standard. The exterior sports a futuristic profile paired with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED lighting, and color options including Emotional Red, Platinum White Pearl Mica, Precious Metal, and Dark Blue Mica.
