The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will hold the Road to Zero Waste Summit, an event focusing on sustainable waste management and developing a circular economy, on November 5 and 6 at Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig City.

The summit's theme, "Closing the Loop Towards a Circular Economy," intends to highlight innovative waste management solutions to address Metro Manila's solid waste concerns while promoting long-term sustainability.

First and largest

The event would be the first and biggest one devoted to sustainable waste management, according to the MMDA.

It will include a range of interactive activities and networking opportunities, from panel talks to product exhibitions. The goal of the event is to increase public knowledge of trash technology and community-based interventions while developing a cohesive plan to improve waste diversion in Metro Manila.

In addition to showcasing the newest solid waste processing goods, services, and innovations, the trash recycling industry will also feature technology demonstrations that local government agencies, communities, and even homes may find useful.

Learning waste management

Attendees should learn more about current waste diversion facilities that serve different recyclers throughout Metro Manila, proper segregation, cutting-edge waste-handling methods like composting, plastic recycling, and end-of-life products, and how they can help the environment at home and work.

Reputable resource speakers from various industries, including the circular economy, best practices for solid waste management, and green advocacy for recycled goods will lead the forums.

All of these conversations will be accessible to participants via Q&A sessions.
