The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding the reach of its Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas (PBP) mobile hubs to make government social protection programs more accessible to Filipino families across the country. By bringing these services to malls, the agency aims to provide easier access to support programs that address the specific needs of households beyond direct financial aid.
Operated by the DSWD's Social Technology Bureau, the mobile hubs function as one-stop service centers where families can undergo profiling and registration through the PBP Registry. The information gathered allows social workers to identify each family's circumstances and connect them with appropriate non-monetary government interventions.
“Through Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas, we are bringing programs that provide long-term support closer to our fellow Filipinos to address their needs and help them become more resilient and capable of improving their lives,” DSWD Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao said.

Bringing Government Services Closer to Communities
According to the DSWD, the initiative focuses on improving access to government assistance by matching families with programs that are best suited to their individual situations instead of relying solely on cash assistance.
This week, PBP mobile hubs are operating at SM City Sucat in Parañaque City, SM City Bacolod in Negros Occidental, and SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown in Cagayan Valley from July 14 to 16. Meanwhile, a mobile hub continues to serve beneficiaries at Robinsons Butuan in Agusan del Norte from Monday to Wednesday until Aug. 31, allowing more families in the region to access DSWD services.
To help speed up registration and assessment, the department encourages visitors to bring their Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) ID, enabling faster verification and more efficient matching with available assistance programs.
Targeted Support Through the PBP Registry
The agency explained that every family visiting the mobile hubs undergoes a profiling and assessment process before being referred to the most suitable DSWD interventions.
“At the Pamilya sa Bagong Pilipinas hubs, we conduct profiling and assessment to ensure that every family is connected to the agency’s programs that truly address their situation, as our goal is to make the delivery of services to every Filipino more responsive, more efficient, and more appropriate,” Dumlao said.
Launched in May 2025, the PBP Registry serves as a tool that enables social workers to evaluate household needs and recommend appropriate support under the department's various social protection programs.
For many Filipino families, bringing government services closer to communities can reduce travel costs and waiting time while making it easier to access assistance tailored to their needs. Expanding the PBP mobile hubs also supports the government's goal of delivering more responsive, efficient, and inclusive social protection services to vulnerable households across the country.
