A major nationwide recruitment initiative is expected to provide over 95,000 employment opportunities for Filipinos in the lead-up to Independence Day celebrations as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) rolls out a series of simultaneous job fairs across the country.
The hiring campaign, known as DOLE Trabaho Agad (Job Fair), will take place in 55 venues nationwide starting June 10 and culminating on June 12. The initiative is designed to connect job seekers with potential employers while bringing employment services closer to local communities.

95,240 Vacancies Available Nationwide
Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino encouraged unemployed and underemployed Filipinos to participate in the job fairs, which will be hosted in major malls and strategic locations throughout the country.
The labor department said the program forms part of the government's continuing efforts to improve access to decent work opportunities and support workers seeking to enter or return to the labor force. The activity is being organized through DOLE regional offices in partnership with Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs).
Around 1,181 local and overseas employers are expected to join the nationwide hiring event. Collectively, they are offering 95,240 vacancies across various industries, with the number of available positions anticipated to increase further in the coming days.
The job fairs are expected to provide applicants with direct access to employers, allowing them to explore openings, submit applications, and potentially secure employment without the need for extensive travel.
High Demand Across Key Industries
Several sectors are expected to account for the bulk of the available positions. These include retail, manufacturing, construction, business process outsourcing, and accommodation and food services.
Among the most in-demand roles are sales clerks and store crew, production operators, construction workers, call center representatives, and service crew. The wide range of vacancies aims to accommodate applicants with varying skills, educational backgrounds, and work experience.
By bringing employers and job seekers together in one venue, the government hopes to make recruitment more efficient while helping businesses address their workforce requirements.
The nationwide job fairs also underscore efforts to strengthen employment opportunities at the local level by making job matching services more accessible and convenient for Filipinos seeking work.
