Digital Upgrade In Caloocan Health Centers Aims for Faster Care

Caloocan City is taking a major step toward modernizing its healthcare system as Mayor Dale Gonzalo Malapitan rolls out a digital transformation across the city’s health centers. This initiative is designed to improve the efficiency and accessibility of basic medical services for residents across all 193 barangays.

Enhancing Facilities for Better Health Services

The local government has provided health centers with new digital tools, including laptops, desktop computers, and printers, to strengthen administrative operations.

“These would largely help in the local administration’s advocacy of shifting towards the digitalization of services for its residents, especially in its remote villages,” Malapitan said.

By integrating digital systems, the processing, filing, and disposal of patient records will become faster and more streamlined. The upgrade also allows for quicker inventory management of prescription drugs and other medical supplies, ensuring that essential resources are readily available to patients. The mayor emphasized that all services at the city’s health centers will continue to be free for residents.

Mayor Malapitan explained that the modernization of health center facilities and equipment is a key factor in improving Caloocan’s public health programs.

“Layunin natin na sa pagsasaayos ng mga pasilidad at mga kagamitan ng mga health centers, karagdagang benepisyo at mas improved na mga serbisyo rin ang pakikinabangan ng ating mga kababayan at health personnel,” he said.

Accessible Care for Every Barangay

The mayor also stressed that residents should take advantage of their local health centers for any medical needs, especially children in Caloocan, without worrying about the cost or quality of services.

“Ang gusto natin, kapag may pangangailangang medikal ang mga Batang Kankaloo, mauunang puntahan ang mga health center sa kani-kanilang barangay dahil hindi na sila mag-aalala sa gastos at kalidad ng serbisyo,” he expressed.

With these digital upgrades, Caloocan aims to provide faster, more efficient healthcare services, benefiting both patients and health workers. The initiative ensures that even residents in far-flung barangays can access timely medical care, strengthening the city’s overall health system and setting an example for other local governments.
