According to Clark International Airport, the aviation hub saw an increase in travelers in 2024. The airport handled 2.4 million passengers, a 20 percent increase over 2023, from which the majority of passengers, or 65%, were from other countries last year.
In comparison to flights in 2023, flight operations increased by 29%. Over half, or 53%, of the 19,221 flights that took place last year were international.
One of the most valuable airports in the country
The airport said in a press statement that its creative efforts, such as the application of minimum performance specifications and standards (MPSS), had established norms for operational effectiveness and quality.
According to Noel Manankil, CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation, which serves as the operator of Clark Airport, the airport staff are always dedicated to making the gateway a worthwhile one for the Philippines.
"Our commitment to providing exceptional service to our passengers remains a primary focus while maintaining a close partnership with government stakeholders to ensure regional growth and global connectivity,” he added.
"These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent the dedication of everyone involved in making CRK a valuable gateway to the Philippines," he said.
Meeting global standards
Strong passenger feedback systems and frequent audits by Airports Council International (ACI) guarantee that the airport continuously satisfies international standards and improves the travel experience.
Clark was recognized with a Routes Asia 2024 award in the Under 5 Million Passengers category, honoring the airport's destination marketing.
