P-pop boy group 1st One is set to wave the Philippine flag on the international stage as they represent the country at the ASEAN-Korea Music Festival 2025, happening June 21–22 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Also known as the Round Festival, the event brings together top acts from Southeast Asia and Korea to celebrate music and culture. 1st One’s participation was announced on the festival’s official social media platforms, marking another milestone for the group.

A chance to showcase talent and culture

“We’re thrilled to represent the Philippines,” said group leader Ace in a statement. “It’s an incredible opportunity to share our music and connect with audiences from different backgrounds.”

The group also expressed excitement about promoting not just their sound but Filipino culture as a whole. As part of their performance, they’ll wear designs by Filipino fashion designer Jobert Cristobal, adding a stylish cultural touch to their stage presence.

Making their mark

Since debuting in 2020 with “You Are the One,” 1st One has continued to grow its fan base both locally and internationally. In 2022, they topped the US Billboard Hot Trending Songs chart with “Shout Out,” becoming the first P-pop boy group to perform at the Seoul Music Awards.

The group—composed of J, Alpha, Jayson, Ace, Joker, and Max—recently released a new single titled “Alam Mo Ba,”a track that explores the complexities of a modern “situationship.” They’re expected to perform original songs and celebrate contemporary Filipino pop during the festival.

Following in the footsteps of past representatives like SB19 and Ben&Ben, 1st One continues the momentum of P-pop’s global rise. With passion, performance, and pride, they’re ready to bring the Filipino sound to the Round Festival stage.
