Maalaala Mo Kaya (MMK), the longest-running drama anthology in the Philippines, is back on free TV and digital streaming services after a two-year hiatus. It will return on iWantTFC as a limited series on April 24. Two days later, it will be broadcast on A2Z, Kapamilya Online (Live), and Kapamilya Channel.

The show said goodbye to its audience back in November 2022 when its last episode aired on December 10 of the same year.

Extending the legacy

At the ABS-CBN Ball, the show's host, Charo Santos-Concio, revealed the news and expressed her delight for the anthology's return, which has long been a mainstay of Filipino home entertainment.

“In my heart, I knew that one day babalik siya. Because the loyal viewers and the new generation of viewers are looking forward to watching the true-to-life stories of our Kapamilyas,” the award-winning actress said.

“Ang daming Gen Z na lumaki na nanonood ng MMK kasama ang kanilang mommies and daddies, lolas and lolos. I'm so happy that they know MMK is a brand of good storytelling.”

First episodes lined up

The first few episodes that the host-actress has planned for this comeback season were also revealed.

These include the life story of one of the BINI members and the life of Sofronio Vasquez, the first Filipino to win the American franchise of The Voice.

MMK has received numerous awards during its 31-year run, garnering both domestic and international acclaim for its cast and production crew.
