Second OFW Lounge Opens at NAIA Terminal 3

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City now offers a cozy space exclusively for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are waiting for their flights.

The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) officially opened the OFW Lounge at NAIA Terminal 3 close to Gate 7  to provide comfort to the nation's modern-day heroes before they board their flights.

What’s in the new OFW Lounge

There are amenities like complimentary food, rest areas, and charging outlets available at the OFW Lounge The lounge also has space for roughly 200 people.

Present during the lounge’s official unveiling were President and CEO of San Miguel Corporation and NAIA Infrastructure Corporation Ramon Ang, along with two Partylist representatives, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Secretary of the Department of Migrant Workers Hans Leo Cacdac, and General Manager Eric Ines of the Manila International Airport Authority. 

Initiatives for lounges

To provide areas for foreign workers in the nation's airports, Zamboanga Sibugay 1st District Representative Wilter Palma sponsored the OFW Resting Lounge Act in February 2023. 

In January, the first OFW Lounge opened at Parañaque City's Terminal 1.

Additionally, more OFW lounges would be installed in Davao, Mactan-Cebu, Pampanga, Clark, and international airports.
