This Holy Week, several major roads in Metro Manila are set for much-needed repairs. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is taking advantage of the long weekend to carry out road rehabilitation and maintenance projects, aimed at making your future commutes safer and smoother.
When and Where Work Will Happen
The projects will run around the clock from March 30 to April 6, 2026. Commuters are encouraged to plan ahead, expect delays, and consider alternative routes to avoid construction zones.
Here are some key areas that will be affected:
- EDSA Southbound Magallanes Flyover
- EDSA Orense Street to Buendia Avenue
- Rosario Bridge along Ortigas Avenue
- Macarthur Highway, Barangay Karuhatan
- E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue – Mariablo Bridge to G. Araneta Avenue
- G. Araneta Avenue – Northbound near E. Rodriguez Sr.
- San Juan Bridge – Northbound along G. Araneta Avenue
- Lambingan Bridge along Aurora Boulevard
- Almirante Creek, Las Piñas City
- Alabang-Muntinlupa Road, Muntinlupa City
- P. Quirino Bridge along President Quirino Avenue
What to Expect
The DPWH will be busy with excavation, retrofitting, laying HOPE pipe elbows, and concreting work. While these activities may slow down traffic temporarily, they are designed to make future trips safer and more comfortable.
Motorists are advised to follow local traffic updates, heed DPWH advisories, and drive cautiously in construction areas. A little planning now can save time and frustration later.
