Fnatic Onic PH Rules MPL Season 14 In Most Viewed Finals So Far

Fnatic ONIC PH claimed the  Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Season 14 championship after defeating Aurora Gaming, 4-3, in a fierce last-minute comeback at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati. With the victory, ONIC won their first MPL championship since joining the league three years ago in Season 4. 

According to Esports Charts, the thrilling Grand Finals saw the biggest peak concurrent viewership (PCV) in MPL Philippines history, at 1,595,994.

Gunning for dynastic run

“We are aiming for a dynasty. Not just now,“ ONIC coach Tony Sederin said. “Chapter one done. Onto the next, ESL, M6.”

ONIC and Aurora will both compete for the Philippines in the December Mobile Legends M6 World Championship.

Since Blacklist International defeated Execration 4-3 in Season 7 of 2021, it was the first MPL championship series to go the full distance. 

Hefty prize bag

ONIC received a $35,000 grand prize for winning, while Aurora received $20,000 for placing second.

The Finals MVP award went to gold laner Grant "Kelra" Pillas, who was instrumental for ONIC for most of the series. 

ONIC also included Brian “Spider Milez” Santos, Jann “Kirk” Gutierrez, Frince “Super Frince” Ramirez, Borris “Brusko” Parro, and King “K1NGKONG” Perez.
