Chairman of SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPH), Hans Sy, has assumed yet another leadership position as the business community deepens its expert-led approach to its sustainable development initiatives.
At the inaugural board meeting on September 2, Sy was elected as the National Resilience Council Foundation (NRC) president. He will serve in that capacity in addition to his chairmanship until 2025.
Technology-based approach
NRC is a research and technology-based foundation formally incorporated on June 19, 2024, emphasizing evidence-based risk management.
The board includes Makati Business Club Chairman and Amber Kinetics Chief Executive Officer Edgar Chua, SMPH Vice President Liza Silerio from the Corporate Compliance Group, and Anton Romulo, managing director of the investment advisory firm Strongview.
The board also includes Austere Panadero and Ernesto Garilao from the Zuellig Family Foundation, Dr. Emma Porio, professor emeritus at Ateneo de Manila University, and Fr. Jett Villarin, director of the Manila Observatory.
