Alula SC and ELEVATE will represent the Garena region at the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 after Filipino teams dominated the regional qualifiers.
The Philippines will have two representatives at the CODM World Championship 2026 after Alula SC and ELEVATE secured the Garena region's spots at the global finals.
Alula SC won the Garena Qualifier after defeating ELEVATE, 4-2, in the Grand Final. ELEVATE finished as runner-up, earning the second slot for the World Championship.
The result capped a strong showing by Philippine teams throughout the qualifier. All four playoff spots were taken by Filipino squads.
Philippine teams dominate the Garena Qualifier
The three-week Garena Qualifier featured 10 teams from across Southeast Asia and the broader region, including squads from Indonesia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The Philippines emerged as the dominant force.
Alula SC, ELEVATE, Rival Esports, and Vizualz SKAERI occupied all four playoff positions, eliminating the region's other contenders from the race for the two World Championship slots.
ELEVATE advanced directly to the Grand Final after defeating Vizualz SKAERI and Alula SC, both by 3-0 scores.
Alula SC took a more difficult route to the final.
After its loss to ELEVATE, the team moved to the Lower Bracket and defeated Rival Esports 3-0. That set up a rematch with ELEVATE for the championship.
This time, Alula SC came out on top, winning 4-2 to claim the qualifier title.
Alula SC and ELEVATE have already been competing at the top
The two teams' success in the CODM World Championship 2026 qualifiers follows another strong regional performance earlier this year.
Alula SC and ELEVATE finished first and second, respectively, at the Garena Summer Invitational 2026.
Their latest results further establish both teams among the region's strongest CODM competitors.
Alula SC's qualifier victory also came with a $4,500 prize, while ELEVATE received $3,000 for finishing second.
More significantly, both teams secured a place on the global stage.
ELEVATE returns to the world stage
The 2026 World Championship will also give ELEVATE another opportunity to compete for the global title.
The Philippine team finished runner-up at the 2025 Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship in Katowice, Poland.
Its return to the competition puts the team in position to make another run at the championship, this time alongside fellow Philippine representatives Alula SC.
CODM World Championship heads to Mexico City
The Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals are scheduled for December 4 to 6 in Mexico City.
Alula SC and ELEVATE will compete against 14 other qualified teams for the global championship.
For Philippine esports, the qualification marks another strong international showing. The country dominated the Garena playoffs from start to finish, and two of its teams will now carry that momentum into the World Championship.
