Planning your next tropical getaway? Here’s something to get excited about—Taiwan passport holders can soon enjoy visa-free entry to the Philippines starting July 1, 2025.
The announcement from the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) means more chances to explore the Philippines’ beautiful islands, rich culture, and exciting food scene—no paperwork stress required.
No Visa? No Problem!
Starting next July, Taiwanese travelers can visit the Philippines without the hassle of applying for a visa for up to 14 days. Whether you’re craving a beach holiday, a cultural tour, or a foodie adventure, it’s all within easy reach.
Just prepare these three simple requirements:
- * Passport valid for at least six months
- * Confirmed hotel booking
- * Proof of financial capacity
Staying Longer? Here’s What You Need to Know
If you’re planning to stay for more than two weeks or visit for business or other reasons, you’ll need to go through the regular visa application process. MECO says you’ll need to submit an application form, a valid passport, Taiwan ID, and a round-trip ticket reservation, if applicable, along with the standard visa fee.
For multiple-entry, crew-list, or long-term visas, the usual requirements still apply.
A Win-Win for Travelers
This visa-free privilege is part of a growing friendship between the Philippines and Taiwan. In fact, Taiwan recently extended its own visa-free policy for Filipinos until July 31, 2026, also benefiting travelers from Thailand and Brunei.
With both countries making travel easier for each other, now’s the perfect time to start planning that adventure. Crystal-clear waters, colorful markets, historic towns, and warm smiles—all just a flight away.
