OPM band Cup of Joe is making waves internationally as their emotional hit “Multo” enters the Billboard Global 200 at No. 181. The track ranked ahead of big names like Jennie and Dua Lipa’s “Handlebars” (No. 186) and Rosé’s “Toxic Til The End” (No. 194), marking a major moment for Filipino music on the global stage.
A Song That Hurts So Good
“Multo” tells the story of longing for a love that’s slipped away—something that clearly resonates far beyond borders. The track gained popularity on TikTok, particularly in fan edits of the WillCa love team from Pinoy Big Brother (Will Ashley and Bianca De Vera). Lead vocalist Gian Bernardino admitted he felt kilig watching the videos, surprised and touched by how fans connected with the song’s bittersweet vibe.
From Local Favorite to Global Streamer
Released as a single in 2024, “Multo” has since surpassed 60 million streams on Spotify. It was also included in Cup of Joe’s debut album Silakbo, released in January 2025. The music video, featuring Elijah Canlas and Miles Ocampo, added another emotional layer that helped the song reach even wider audiences.
The band, known for tracks like “Misteryoso,” “Tingin,” “Estranghero,” and “Ikaw Pa Rin Ang Piliin Ko,” has been steadily building momentum. But this new chart milestone sets a fresh benchmark—not just for them, but for OPM artists reaching for global recognition.
With “Multo” breaking into international charts, Cup of Joe is proving that heartfelt Filipino music can travel far—and hit just as hard.
