PH Welcome WAN-Ifra Digital Media Asia 2026 For The First Time

For the first time in its 18-year history, WAN-Ifra (World Association of News Publishers) Digital Media Asia (DMA) will be held in Manila, bringing together the Asia-Pacific’s most influential news media leaders, innovators, and disruptors. Scheduled for April 27 to 29 at the iconic Manila Hotel, this premier gathering has become a global benchmark for digital transformation, revenue innovation, and emerging technologies in publishing. Its arrival in the Philippines signals a historic moment for the country’s media industry, giving local professionals the chance to engage directly with the global media community.

Learning from Global and Regional Voices

DMA 2026 will feature a rich mix of international and regional perspectives. WAN-Ifra represents 3,000 news publishing companies, 40 member associations, and 18,000 publications across 120 countries. Attendees will gain firsthand insights from leading international news organizations on building sustainable digital revenue models, while media leaders from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia will provide context on trends shaping the region.

Topics will include the impact of artificial intelligence, the shifting dynamics of social and digital platforms, and the opportunities presented by the growing creator economy. Currently, there’s only a limited number of events in the region that offer this combination of global expertise and local relevance, making DMA 2026 a rare opportunity for media professionals to expand their knowledge and network.

Inspiration and Innovation Under One Roof

The Manila Hotel, a historic landmark and symbol of the city’s rich heritage, will serve as the venue for this transformative event. Its grand halls will host strategists, technologists, creators, and media leaders eager to exchange ideas, forge partnerships, and explore the future of journalism.

Beyond traditional panels and presentations, DMA 2026 aims to inspire attendees to adopt innovative approaches and lead their organizations confidently into the digital age. More than just a conference, it promises a collaborative, forward-looking experience that combines strategy, creativity, and practical tools to help the region’s media industry thrive in a rapidly evolving landscape.
