On February 13 at SM North EDSA, a groundbreaking event marked the beginning of an exciting project aimed at improving how people travel in Metro ManilaThe EDSA Busway Concourse.

The EDSA Busway Concourse will serve as another mode of public transportation that will be built along EDSA. SM North EDSA is its first stop, leading the way for other planned stations along the route. The goal is to make commuting in the city smoother and more efficient.

Making Commuting Better

The EDSA Busway Concourse is not just a regular bus station; it's about making urban commuting more comfortable. The station will have a concierge, ticket booth, and turnstiles for automatic fare collection. Additionally, ramps and elevators will be added for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women.

In addition, a significant feature of the project is the creation of modern and sustainable walkways. These walkways will connect SM North EDSA to SM Megamall and include a ground station at SM MOA, making it easier for people to move around the city. These walkways are a crucial part of the EDSA Busway, linking commuters to various services in Metro Manila.

Teamwork for Transformation

SM Prime Holdings is leading the project, working with the Department of Transportation (DOTr), Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), and the Quezon City government. SM Prime Holdings will cover the costs of designing and constructing the station.

Who Benefits?

The EDSA Busway Concourse aims to make commuting better for everyone – commuters, drivers, and pedestrians. The project, with its modern walkways, promises not just convenience but also a safer and more connected urban experience.

Countdown to Change

The EDSA Busway Concourse is expected to be completed by July 31, 2024. As the project moves forward, there's excitement about a future where traveling in Metro Manila is known for being efficient, accessible, and sustainable. The EDSA Busway Concourse is not just a station; it's a glimpse into the promising future of transportation in the heart of the Philippines
