The 50 Top Pizza recognized Margarita Fores's Italian eatery Cibo as one among the world's top artisan pizza chains at the 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains 2024 awards ceremony.
Cibo, which has 20 locations throughout the Philippines, came in at number 44 in the top 50 list.
What makes it great
It is stated that it provides "good Italian food at reasonable prices and in easily accessible locations, mainly in the large malls of Metro Manila."
The findings of this year's 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains were unveiled at the World Pizza Summit 2024 during the European Pizza Show, which took place in London from November 26 to 27.
"From pastries for breakfast to evening offerings, you can eat something at any time of the day. From sandwiches to pasta dishes, salads, soups, and of course, pizza," said the 50 Top Pizza.
Cibo's pizzas stand out for their elongated shape and presentation on a wooden board for sharing.
World’s best
The world's top five artisan pizza franchises are Spain's Grosso Napoletano, Italy's Da Michele, Europe's Big Mamma Group, Brazil's Braz Pizzaria, and Switzerland-United Arab Emirates' Luigia.
The 50 Top Pizza, which is run by the 50 Italy Group, publishes rankings of the greatest pizzerias in the world as well as in Italy, Europe, the US, and Asia.
In addition to pizza, the 50 Top Pizza Awards evaluate pizzerias based on waiting times, wine, beer, and beverage, as well as service and atmosphere.
