American variety content creator Darren Jason Watkins Jr., often known as IShowSpeed, has made one of the most unexpected appearances in history by going through the streets of Manila.
Throughout the three-hour livestream called "irl stream in Philippines," he greeted his supporters as he moved around the nation's streets.
He headed straight to the Manila slums, where he was greeted by supporters and children alike.
True Speed fashion
Speed would sporadically stroll around in the video, commenting on his experiences and occasionally yelling his trademark "Arf! Arf!"
Speed had the opportunity to play street basketball with the crowd encouraging him to dunk the ball.
In addition, he rode a motorcycle, ate balut and siopao, and purchased some munchies from a sari-sari store.
He was even misled into believing that he was eating cat meat in one of his stream's most popular clips.
Overwhelming reception
The welcome Speed encountered in the Philippines was overwhelming. Riding a 'Move It' motorcycle to BGC, he was surrounded by fans and other riders. He was held captive by the sizable mob who welcomed him upon his arrival at BGC.
In the three hours that he spent livestreaming, he managed to acquire 100,000 new subscribers.
Speed, who already has over 29 million subscribers on YouTube, aimed to get 30 million during his PH tour.
