Partnership Covers Multiple Music Ventures
Under the joint venture, the two companies will collaborate on a broad range of music operations, including music production, recording, marketing, promotion, distribution, artist management, and music publishing.
The partnership brings together GMA's entertainment platforms, talent pool, and media reach with Viva Music Group's extensive music catalog and experience in music production. According to GMA Network, the initiative will be carried out through GMA Music, the network's music division.
The contract signing was attended by key officials from both organizations. Representing GMA were Annette Gozon-Valdes, Joy Marcelo, and Tracy Garcia. The Viva Group was represented by Vicente “Boss Vic” del Rosario Jr., Antonio Ocampo, and Verb del Rosario.
Creating More Opportunities for Filipino Artists
The event also drew the presence of several artists under Sparkle, including Ysabel Ortega, Jeff Moses, Anthony Rosaldo, Princess Aliyah, Vianna Ricafranca, and the P-Pop girl group Dollipop. Also present were Sparkle Consultant Lawrence Tan, Viva Communications Inc. President Vincent del Rosario, and Studio Viva President and Chief Operating Officer Valerie del Rosario.
Company officials said the collaboration is intended to open new doors for Filipino performers by maximizing the combined resources, expertise, and platforms of both organizations. Through the venture, artists may gain greater exposure and access to expanded opportunities in music production, promotion, and distribution.
The alliance reflects a growing effort among major industry players to strengthen the local music scene and support homegrown talent amid increasing competition in the digital entertainment landscape.
For Filipino artists and music fans, the partnership could lead to more original content, wider audience reach, and stronger support systems for emerging performers. On a broader scale, initiatives like this can help elevate Philippine music locally and internationally, creating more opportunities for Filipino talent to thrive in the global entertainment industry.
