As Filipinos prepare to visit their departed loved ones during Undas 2025, the Manila City Government released its official guidelines to ensure a peaceful and secure observance next weekend.

Vehicle Restrictions and Cemetery Schedules

All vehicles—including motorcycles, e-bikes, tricycles, and cars—will be banned from entering the Manila North and South Cemeteries from October 29 to November 2. During these dates, cemeteries will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

To manage foot traffic and maintain cleanliness, the city also set deadlines for tomb maintenance. The last day for cleaning, repainting, and repairing graves will be on October 26 at the Manila South Cemetery and October 27 at the Manila North Cemetery. The final day for burials at both cemeteries is scheduled for October 28.

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso confirmed that these same guidelines will apply to the Manila Islamic Cemetery.

Rules for Visitors and Public Safety Measures

Authorities will strictly enforce prohibited items inside cemetery grounds, including firearms, bladed weapons, alcoholic beverages, pets, loud sound systems, and flammable materials such as alcohol and thinner. The Manila North Cemetery earlier reiterated that pets are not allowed during Undas.

Emergency responders and law enforcement personnel will be deployed throughout the cemeteries to ensure safety and assist visitors amid large crowds.

Domagoso also urged the public to avoid littering, refrain from unauthorized vending, and stay alert during the observance.

Digital Tools to Locate Graves

To make the cemetery visit more convenient, the city is offering digital platforms such as the “Puntod Finders” available at ManilaNorthCemetery.ph and ManilaSouthCemetery.com. These online tools help users locate tombs and feature special markers for children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities.
