Malabon City has officially achieved its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification, marking a major milestone in its commitment to world-class governance and service excellence. The certification reflects the city’s dedication to building an efficient, transparent, and citizen-centered local government.

Commitment to Quality and Discipline
The ISO recognition came after a year of meticulous preparation and coordination among Malabon’s departments. The certification ensures that the city’s programs and services now follow globally recognized standards for quality, efficiency, and accountability.
“This achievement is not only for the local government but for the entire populace. It would mean that we are fully ready to provide excellent governance and best service to its constituents, worthy of the global standards,” Mayor Jeannie Sandoval said.
City Administrator Dr. Alex Rosete shared that the certification process involved a rigorous evaluation of Malabon’s internal systems during the ISO 9001:2015 Stage 2 Audit conducted by TUV Rheinland Philippines from September 10 to 12.
He explained that the audit validated the city’s compliance with strict international benchmarks for quality management. “This process guarantees that every step in service delivery meets the highest standards of quality,” Rosete said.
Raising the Bar for Local Governance
Malabon City Quality Management Representative Jeffrey Benesisto emphasized that the certification ensures all city processes now align with international standards, making services faster, issue resolution more efficient, and systems more responsive to residents’ needs.
With this achievement, Malabon joins the growing list of ISO-certified local governments in the Philippines, setting a benchmark for quality public service. City officials said the certification not only recognizes the city’s progress but also reinforces its pledge to continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
