After closing its longtime stall at University of the Philippines Diliman, the well-known street food spot Mang Larry’s Isawan has reopened at a new location in Quezon City.
Now Open in Project 8
Mang Larry’s Isawan is currently in its soft opening at 28 Road 20, Project 8, Quezon City. The brand shared the update on Facebook, inviting customers with a simple message: “Isaw trip, anyone? Mang Larry's Isawan is officially serving in Project 8!” The new branch gives longtime fans another place to enjoy the street food favorite after its departure from the UP campus.
A Favorite Among Students
For many years, Mang Larry’s became a go-to food stop for students and visitors at University of the Philippines Diliman. Known for its grilled isaw and other street food staples, the stall was popular for its affordable prices and flavorful barbecue.
Many students would drop by after classes, making it a familiar hangout spot on or near campus.
Moving Forward After UP Closure
In February, Mang Larry’s Isawan closed its UP Diliman stall following a court-ordered eviction. After the closure, the brand thanked the UP community for its years of support. Despite leaving the campus, Mang Larry’s continues to operate in other areas, including Sikatuna Village, UP Village, and near University of Santo Tomas.
With its new Project 8 location, fans can once again enjoy the classic grilled street food that made Mang Larry’s a favorite for many.
