Some couples book a band for their wedding. Dariz Kho and Emman Pelayo got an unexpected performance from James Reid, who surprised the newlyweds and their guests with a special set at their reception in Amadeo, Cavite.
The singer-songwriter appeared unannounced at Ad Meliora Countryside Garden, performing songs from his third studio album, “Honey, I’m Home,” released on September 10. His set included the album’s title track and “Attention.”
James Reid Makes Couple's Wedding Extra Special
Reid said the opportunity was not something he usually gets to do, but the timing worked out. After hearing the couple’s story, he said he was glad to be a small part of their special day. Seeing how happy they were also made his night.
The bride shared that their guests loved the surprise and “can’t stop talking about it.”
Couple's Love Story Inspired Wimbledon-Themed Wedding
Kho and Pelayo first met at the Camp Aguinaldo tennis court, where they shared the same coach. They became a couple on January 7, 2024, and got engaged on September 29, 2025.
Their shared connection to tennis carried into their wedding, which featured a Wimbledon-inspired theme. Guests wore white and green, while the reception took place in a glass garden pavilion overlooking the Cavite countryside.
'Honey, I'm Home' Celebrates Love and Belonging
Reid’s surprise performance also reflected the themes of his latest album, “Honey, I’m Home,” which explores home as a feeling of belonging and connection with the people one chooses to share life with.
The album’s message of love and togetherness made the performance a fitting addition to the couple’s celebration.
Details on how the surprise was arranged and the exact date of the wedding were not disclosed.
