Valencia, Negros Oriental just got a major upgrade in the fun department. A new adventure and waterpark is making waves—both literally and economically—promising to attract more tourists and spark fresh energy in the local economy.
The Mango Ranch Waterpark, a privately developed eight-hectare destination, introduces the province’s very first wave pool and lazy river. Its opening comes just in time for the summer season and graduation celebrations, giving families and friend groups a new spot to celebrate and unwind.
A Full Day of Fun, From Pools to Nature Tours
Whether you're in it for the thrill or the chill, Mango Ranch offers something for everyone. With five swimming pools, water slides, go-kart tracks, and ATV trails, the park is a playground for adventure seekers of all ages.
Nature lovers can take part in guided visits to nearby scenic spots like Casaroro Falls and Pulangbato Falls. For those craving a sky-high view, paramotor aerial tours are also on the menu. Visitors can relax in cozy cabanas and enjoy food from local vendors—making it easy to stay all day.
Community Cheers on New Tourism Venture
The soft opening on Friday drew in excited guests, especially graduates who were treated to limited-time discounts. The grand opening is set for the weekend, and anticipation is running high.
Behind the project are Louie and Sabrina Tijing of Philsouth Properties and Development Corporation. “This is the place where you can pause, relax, and hear the water flowing and the laughter flying about,” said Sabrina during the launch.
Local business leaders are welcoming the development. Edward Du, president of the Negros Oriental Chamber of Commerce and Industry, praised it as a step forward. “Tourism is our way forward,” Du said, emphasizing the park’s potential to create jobs, attract investments, and cement Valencia’s role as a key tourism hub in the province.
