The country now has 11 certified hotels after five additional Philippine-based establishments were added to the esteemed Michelin Guide Hotels list.

Fairmont Makati, the Manila Marriott Hotel at Newport World Resorts, Raffles Makati, Solaire Resort Entertainment City, and Shangri-La The Fort, Manila are the new entries to the Michelin list.

They join the Admiral Hotel Manila - MGallery, Amanpulo, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, Hotel Okura Manila, Nay Palad Hideaway, and The Peninsula Manila that were featured in the 2024 Michelin Guide.

Recognitions for the Philippines

The inclusion was warmly received by the Department of Tourism (DOT), which characterized it as an acknowledgement of the exceptional hospitality provided by Philippine hotels.

With its first edition anticipated to debut in 2026, the Michelin Guide announced its entry in the Philippines.

“The inclusion of these DOT-accredited hotels in the Michelin Guide not only strengthens the Philippines’ positioning as a destination of choice for world-class hotel and tourism experiences, but also affirms the renowned Filipino warmth and excellence in hospitality,” DOT’s statement said.

Standard in global hospitality

The Michelin Guide Hotels list signifies a new standard in global hospitality, recognizing hotels that offer exceptional design, service, and guest experience.

Introduced to complement its prestigious restaurant ratings, the list helps travelers find accommodations that are not only comfortable but also unique and memorable.
