Korean actor Lee Jong-suk has canceled his upcoming fan meeting in Manila due to safety concerns linked to nationwide protests in the Philippines, his agency announced.

Lee’s agency, A-Man Project, posted an official notice on Instagram on Monday, November 17, confirming the cancellation of the “2025 LEE JONG SUK FANMEETING TOUR [With: Just Like This] IN MANILA,” which was scheduled for November 30 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

“We deeply apologize to all fans who were looking forward to the event and ask for your understanding regarding the inconvenience caused by this cancellation,” the statement read.

Political Unrest

The cancellation comes as large-scale protests continue across the Philippines, driven by allegations of corruption in the government’s flood-control projects. Public anger has grown amid reports of inadequate infrastructure and rising casualties caused by storms and flooding in several areas.

Local authorities, on the other hand, have heightened security measures in key cities, including the city of Manila, in anticipation of the planned demonstrations.

World Tour

Lee is currently on a seven-city fan meeting tour across Asia, which started in Seoul and includes stops in Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, Manila, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. He recently appeared in the tvN drama “Law and the City,” further cementing his status as a leading figure in Korean entertainment.

Fans across the country have expressed disappointment at the cancellation but have also shared understanding for the safety of all parties involved. Lee’s agency thanked supporters for their continued enthusiasm and promised updates should a rescheduled Manila fan meeting be planned.
