The acts of 1Z Entertainment, the company behind SB19, will share one stage for the first time at "One Zone Fest" on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. SB19 will perform with girl group XONARA and choreographer-turned-performer J2X, plus special guests.
The Idea
SB19 leader Pablo said at a media roundtable that the festival is only a start, and one of its goals is to promote P-pop and OPM around the world. He said the "Zone" is meant as a place where creative people can celebrate what they have freely. He promised special guests, sub-unit performances and "more twists" for fans who have already seen SB19 live.
Pablo said it was the first time the 1Z acts were together "in one frame" promoting P-pop and OPM. SB19's Josh said the group is grateful to see its early work bearing fruit, and that he hopes it also helps the wider industry.
XONARA and J2X
XONARA has seven members: Eurekah, Ella, Dominique, Tin, Megumi, Lei and Namie. Tin said the group has been preparing since July and that fans will see "our vulnerable side." Dominique said the members were excited to perform at the Big Dome.
J2X is the stage name of choreographer Jay Roncesvalles. He said performing as an artist feels like living a dream he once prayed for. He compared the show to a carinderia with many dishes to choose from. He also said he has a collaboration with a dancer from outside 1Z.
