Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda are back on television together for the first time in 11 years. Abunda announced on the Oct. 21 episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" that Aquino will be his guest in a two-part special.
The episodes are set to air on Oct. 28 and 29 as part of a week-long celebration of Abunda's birthday on the GMA afternoon talk show, which runs from Oct. 26 to 30. Abunda turns 61 on Oct. 29. Other guests that week include Alice Dixson, Ruffa Gutierrez and Andrea Brillantes, according to reports. Check local listings for the final schedule.
What They Talked About
Abunda said the recorded interview ran over two hours. He said they covered Aquino's health, her resolve to live, her return to work, her love life in recent years, her views on politics and her sons, Josh and Bimby. He added that Bimby joined part of the conversation.
"What you will see in our interview is the Kris Aquino that we all missed," Abunda said in Filipino. He described her as happy, full of life and open.
A Long Partnership
The two co-hosted several shows over the years, including "Startalk," "The Buzz," "Boy & Kris" and "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon." Their last show together was "Aquino & Abunda Tonight."
Abunda visited Aquino in California in 2023, where she was being treated for autoimmune conditions. She appeared on "Fast Talk" in February 2025, but only through a video call. The Oct. 28 and 29 episodes are their first in-person TV interview in more than a decade.
Aquino recently returned to work as a host for Netflix's "CHIKA."
