Discover Pandan, a stunning new rooftop lounge in Chicago, where you can indulge in the rich flavors of Filipino and Southeast Asian cuisine. Perched atop the Viceroy Chicago Hotel in the Gold Coast, Pandan has been adding excitement to the city’s skyline since its grand opening on June 20, 2024.

Tasty Southeast Asian Dishes

Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Verlord Laguatan, Pandan serves an array of mouthwatering dishes. Delight in lobster dumplings with coconut curry, crispy pork belly buns, and spicy tuna on crispy rice. Filipino favorites such as pork lumpia and bistek tataki also grace the menu.

“We are bringing the spice, and people love it,” says Chef Laguatan, highlighting the tasty and bold flavors they offer.

Exciting Drinks with Great Views

Enjoy a variety of cocktails and mocktails while soaking in breathtaking views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Savor the signature drink featuring pandan, lime, lemon, and Don Julio Blanco. For a fun twist, try the “Not Your Average Float,” a mix of cola, root beer, Ron Zacapa, and pandan foam. Non-alcoholic options like the Pandan Lite, a refreshing zero-proof margarita, are also available to suit all tastes.

Cozy and Chic Atmosphere

Pandan offers a cozy yet chic atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing evening out. Hotel guests enjoy exclusive pool access, adding an extra touch of luxury. Chef Laguatan, who moved from the Philippines to the US 16 years ago, emphasizes using fresh, local ingredients sourced from Mich Klug and Nichols farms, along with produce from the rooftop garden and beehives.

Pandan’s unique blend of Filipino and Southeast Asian flavors, characterized by its signature “funk and spice,” makes it a must-visit destination in Chicago.
