The iconic Original Pilipino Music (OPM) rock band, Rivermaya, has announced an exciting new chapter in their storied career. Following a heartfelt reunion earlier this year, the band is now set to take their electrifying music to fans around the world. With an international tour on the horizon, Rivermaya is ready to reignite the passion and energy that has defined their legendary sound for three decades.

The Grand Announcement

Drummer Mark Escueta took to Instagram to share the thrilling news that has fans buzzing with anticipation. “#RivermayaTheReunionGlobalTour kicks-off this September 2024,” he posted, igniting a wave of excitement across social media. Escueta added that the tour would start in the U.S. and Canada, with more details to follow soon.

The announcement promises a spectacular lineup of performances, not just in North America but also in the Middle East, Singapore, Australia, and London. This world tour marks the first time Rivermaya will bring their legendary music to such a diverse international audience, offering fans worldwide a chance to experience their powerful live shows.

Reunited and Ready to Rock

Rivermaya's original members—Bamboo, Mark, Nathan Azarcon, Rico Blanco, and Perf de Castro—first captured the hearts of music lovers in 1994 with their groundbreaking sound. Despite lineup changes over the years, the band has consistently delivered hits that have become anthems for generations of fans.

Perf de Castro departed after their debut album in 1995, followed by Bamboo in 1998 during their North American tour. Rico Blanco then took the helm, guiding Rivermaya through a prolific period until his departure in 2007. Despite these changes, Rivermaya's spirit and dedication to their craft never wavered. Nathan Azarcon returned to the fold, and Mark Escueta's steadfast presence ensured the band's continued success.
