What a way to celebrate Father's Day! Ria Atayde announced she is expecting her first child by sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram for her husband, Zanjoe Marudo, on Father’s day, June 16.
"To the dad you already are and the dad I know you’ll be. Love you @onlyzanjoemarudo," she wrote, confirming their first baby together.
Months of speculations about their expanding family were ended by the post, which included a beach photo showing her developing baby bump.
Zanjoe Marudo honors wife
The next day, actor Zanjoe Marudo took to social media to show his appreciation for his wife as he shared his reaction to the pregnancy.
"Motherhood. Our baby and I are both so lucky to have you," Marudo wrote in his Instagram post.
Well wishes flooded the comment section of Ria's post as celebrities Jason Abalos, Alex Diaz, Coleen Garcia, and many more joined in.
Marudo and Atayde’s story
When Marudo, 41, and Atayde, 32, were seen together in New York in August 2022, romance rumors about them initially surfaced.
Atayde's mother, Sylvia Sanchez, disclosed the two were dating a few months later, but the actor did not officially announce their relationship until January 2023.
The couple got engaged in February 2024, and on March 23, 2024, Atayde's birthday, they tied the knot in an intimate wedding.
