Binibining Pilipinas has crowned its new titleholders who will represent the country in two of the most prestigious international pageants. At the glittering coronation night held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday, June 15, two Filipinas emerged as the stars of the evening: Katrina Anne Johnson from Davao del Sur was named Binibining Pilipinas International 2025, while Annabelle Mae McDonnell from Misamis Oriental took home the title of Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2025.
New Queens for the Global Stage
The 2025 edition of Binibining Pilipinas unfolded in a night of glitz, grace, and celebration of empowered Filipina beauty. The live coronation was filled with electrifying performances, dazzling evening gowns, and heartfelt Q&A moments that brought the audience to their feet.
Johnson, a licensed medical professional, impressed the judges with her poise and sincerity throughout the competition. This marks her first national title after years of competing on various pageant stages. McDonnell, meanwhile, returns to the international stage after being Miss Charm 2023 first runner-up, proving her consistency and charm remain crowd favorites.
The pageant also recognized several other candidates: Graciella Lehmann of Oriental Mindoro and Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga completed the Top 4. Special awards were given to select contestants earlier in the program, showcasing talent and advocacy work beyond the main titles.
Legacy of Grace and Advocacy
Binibining Pilipinas, now in its 60th year, continues to uphold its tradition of empowering Filipina women through beauty, intelligence, and purpose. The 2025 edition celebrated not only the pageant’s iconic history but also its future with a fresh lineup of queens ready to take on global stages.
Both Johnson and McDonnell will now prepare for their respective international pageants, where they aim to follow in the footsteps of past Filipina titleholders who brought pride to the country.
With months of training ahead, the newly crowned queens are expected to refine their advocacies, sharpen their skills, and represent the Philippines with pride and grace.
