Xian Lim claims that Kim Chiu, his ex-girlfriend, initiated their breakup. During an appearance on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the actor was asked about his friendship with the actress-TV host, which prompted him to discuss their split once more.
What led to the breakup
"Are you and Kim friends?"" Abunda inquired, and the actor responded, "Of course, of course. Nagulat ako sa tanong."
“To be completely honest, ever since we went our separate ways, hindi pa po kami nakakapag-usap. But of course, when that night happened, maayos ‘yung pag-uusap namin,” Lim said.
“Merong iyakan but there was that assurance that we are—we went through 12 years, ‘di ba? Twelve years of our existence. So it has that respect,” he added.
Although Xian admitted that their supporters were upset and felt deceived, particularly by him, he insisted that his record is "clean."
Closing their chapter
In December last year, Xian and Kim announced their separation. The cause behind the breakup of the 12-year romance remained a mystery for their fans.
Xian revealed that he is seeing film producer Iris Lee in a magazine interview last month, but he made it clear that their relationship only began after he split up with Kim.
In the meantime, Kim Chiu asked for understanding from the public in an Instagram post as they work to mend and carry on living their lives independently.
