Four rising Filipino talents have earned a spot on Forbes Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Asia list for 2025, joining 300 standout individuals from across the region. Representing music, art, business, and sports, BINI, Renren Galeno, Ysabel Chua, and Daniel Quizon are being recognized for their impact in their respective fields.

BINI Leads the P-Pop Wave

BINI, the eight-member girl group formed by ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy in 2019, was recognized for its growing influence in the entertainment industry. Members Gwen Apuli, Aiah Arceta, Sheena Catacutan, Mikha Lim, Maloi Ricalde, Jhoanna Robles, Stacey Sevilleja, and Colet Vergara have captured fans across Asia with hits like Pantropiko and Salamin, Salamin. Their polished performances and fresh sound have made them a standout act in the fast-growing P-pop scene.

Galeno and Chua Represent Filipino Creativity and Leadership

Illustrator Renren Galeno, based in Davao, made the list for his work on Searching for Maura, a Pulitzer Prize finalist published by The Washington Post. The illustrated story brings to light the forgotten experiences of Filipinos exhibited at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. A magna cum laude graduate of UP Diliman, Galeno is known for using art to confront historical injustices.

Meanwhile, Ysabel Chua, now based in Singapore, has made waves in the startup world. She’s the vice president of Forge Ventures, a venture capital firm with 16 portfolio companies. Starting as an associate, Chua now leads five key investments, showcasing her leadership in Asia’s tech investment space.

Chess Prodigy Daniel Quizon Reaches New Heights

Chess Grandmaster Daniel Quizon rounds out the list. At just 20, he has been the reigning Philippine champion since 2021. His defining moment came at the 45th FIDE Chess Olympiad in Hungary, where he earned his GM title after defeating 64-year-old Igor Efimov.

These young Filipinos are not just rising stars—they’re helping shape the future of their industries on an international stage.
