Ride-hailing and superapp giant Grab Philippines is set to expand its services to 40 additional cities this year, further widening its footprint as it continues to scale transport, delivery, and digital services across the country.

Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda said the expansion is part of the company’s broader effort to accelerate digitalization in more local areas, noting that rollout plans will vary depending on each city’s regulatory environment and readiness for services such as transport, deliveries, and financial products.

At present, Grab operates in key urban centers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, offering ride-hailing, food and parcel delivery, and digital financial services in major cities nationwide.

Expansion Driven by Delivery and Digital Services

According to the company, rollout will prioritize delivery services first, followed by transport, with financial services introduced depending on local conditions and partnerships.

Grab also highlighted growing opportunities in the digitalization of groceries, retail, and everyday consumer services, which it sees as a major driver of future growth across regional markets.

The company added that expanding access to e-commerce and on-demand services in provincial areas remains a key focus, especially as more consumers outside Metro Manila shift toward online platforms for daily needs.
