Polomolok, South Cotabato burst into life as it marked its 22nd F’lomlok Festival alongside the 68th Founding Anniversary of the municipality, running from late August to September 10, 2025. The celebration showcased the town’s heritage, talents, and community spirit in a vibrant mix of food, music, and cultural pride—truly a festival painted in color.
A Showcase of Talent and Tradition
One of the highlights was the Thematic Dance Competition, where Barangay Maligo emerged as the grand champion, bagging ?120,000 along with special awards for Best in Visual Appeal and Best in Music. Barangay Lumakil and B.E.S.T College of Polomolok followed as runners-up, proving that Cotabato’s creativity and cultural depth shine brightest on the festival stage.
The mood soared higher at Celebrity Night, with Arthur Nery and Cueshé captivating the crowd at the Municipal Grandstand. Meanwhile, the Civic-Military Parade gathered the Polomolok Municipal Police Station and other groups in a powerful display of unity and pride.
Food, Trade, and Community Spirit
Festival goers also flocked to the Trade Fair Expo at Gaisano Grand Mall, where local entrepreneurs brought Cotabato flavors and craftsmanship to the spotlight. The Food Strip at the Municipal Plaza offered weeks of culinary delights, turning Polomolok into a foodie destination. Fitness and charity blended at the F’lomlok Festival Marathon on September 7, themed “Takbo mo, Bahay ko”, as runners raced for a cause.
A Festival that Unites
Adding to the celebration was the presence of Mark Villar, who joined the festivities with heartfelt words: “It was truly an honor to witness the vibrant culture, rich heritage, and undeniable unity of the municipality. Maraming salamat po sa mainit ninyong pagtanggap, Polomolok! Your warmth and energy are a true testament to the heart of the Filipino people. I'm taking home great memories and a stronger appreciation of our culture, traditions, and people.”
More than just an anniversary, the F’lomlok Festival 2025 proved to be a color of Cotabato’s identity—joyful, united, and alive with culture.
