Zamboanga Sibugay is situated on Mindanao's Zamboanga Peninsula, sharing a border with Zamboanga del Norte to the north, Zamboanga del Sur to the east, and Zamboanga City to the southwest. Natural resources, pure waters, and stunning scenery abound in the province create ideal conditions for a flourishing tourism sector.

Blessed with its natural geographical form, Zamboanga Sibugay possesses a remarkable array of top-notch tourism destinations. Flood mountain formations, stunning waterfalls, hot springs, white sand beaches, animal sanctuaries, and caverns are scattered throughout the province.

Zamboanga Sibugay is still moving forward more than 20 years after it was founded, thanks to collaboration, forward-thinking leadership, and competent local government.

Emerging tourism

Sibugay offers tourists expansive stretches of white sand, lush mountains and hills, carpets of green tropical vegetation, and a vast space of blue skies and emerald waterways.

The province of Zamboanga Sibugay is 3,087.9 square kilometers in size. Located outside the country's typhoon belt, the province has a fairly comfortable and consistent temperature range for the entire year.

Tourists can bask in the colorful dawn at Anduhol Beach Resort in Ipil, the province's capital. They can also enjoy the fine white sand beneath their feet in the pristine shallow waters of the Looc Labuan in Tungawan and Gubawang Beach in Naga.

Unspoiled white sand beaches lapped by calm waters may also be found on Buluan Island in Ipil, Litayon Island and Sibugay Sinking Island in Alicia, Bangan Island and Looc-Labuan in Tungawan, and Pandilusan Island in Payao.

Fishing, swimming, jet skiing, regattas, powerboat racing, and other water sports are popular at these locations.

Growing Economy

The production of rattan and wood furniture, food processing, rice and corn milling, and bakeries are the top industries in Sibugay.

Meanwhile, concrete goods, clothing, the manufacturing of candles and wax, and other cottage industries are some of the growing business sectors.

Zamboanga Sibugay was also named one of the top provinces in the nation for rice production in 2017, one of the most significant achievements in its young years as a province.

With support for research, development, and a modernized approach to its sectors, Zamboanga Sibugay is one of Mindanao's most promising provinces
