Cebu Pacific (CEB) will operate direct flights between Cebu and Osaka, Japan beginning on October 15, making it the first local airline to provide services to the Japanese city via Cebu.

Up until July 31st, Cebu Pacific is also running a Piso Sale promotion. Without taxes or surcharges, passengers can reserve flights from Cebu to Osaka for as little as P1 per one-way base fare.

The dates of travel are set for October 15, 2024, through March 31, 2025.

Connecting two bustling cities

Travelers may now take a direct flight to Osaka from the busy metro area of Cebu thanks to the new route.

Cebuanos are now a flight away from Universal Studio Japan's rides and attractions as well as the famous Glico Running Man sign of Osaka which has become popular for those who like to take selfies.

Daily flights are also offered by Cebu Pacific between Narita, Japan, and Cebu. There are now 35 local and 25 international routes served by the airline.

Bringing more Japanese tourists to Cebu

Xander Lao, president of CEB, is hopeful that the new route would inspire more Japanese tourists to discover the splendor of the Philippines.

“We are thrilled to launch direct flights from Cebu to Osaka. With Japan being a top-of-mind destination for many Filipino travelers, the new route will surely give them the opportunity to visit one of the country’s dynamic cities. We also hope that this launch can encourage more travelers from Japan to explore the beauty of the Philippines,” he said.
