The Philippines is well-known for its stunning, unspoiled beaches, which include the well-known White Beach on Boracay, Coron's Banul Beach, and El Nido's Nacpan Beach, among many others.
Beachcombers should certainly be delighted to learn that their next beach vacation schedule can include additional nearby locations.
Bonbon Beach in Romblon province has been included in the esteemed 2024 World's Top 50 Beaches list, the Department of Tourism (DOT) has announced.
Another Mimaropa location that joined the province was Entalula Island in El Nido, Palawan, which came in fourth out of 50 and solidified the area's reputation as a top beach resort.
‘Laid back paradise’
Bonbon was praised on the list as a "laid-back paradise" with a distinctive sandbar.
"As a lesser-known destination, Bon Bon Beach offers a quiet retreat compared to more tourist-heavy spots, so much so that often you could have this beach all to yourself," Bonbon's description reads.
"The beach itself is undeveloped, preserving its serene and unspoiled charm. The sand is fine and white, while the water is incredibly clear, providing lovely swimming conditions without big waves," the article said.
Well-curated
